1. Acceptance of Terms

By utilizing the services of Country Time Pet Retreat in Berkley, MA, including but not limited to overnight boarding, doggie daycare, grooming, and in-home pet sitting, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("the Owner") and Country Time Pet Retreat ("the Kennel").

2. Facility Hours & Policies

Our facility operates seven days a week. Drop-off and pick-up hours are restricted to our standard operating times:

  • Morning: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

  • Evening: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

The facility is closed for human traffic between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to ensure uninterrupted rest periods for our guests. A late fee may be assessed for arrivals or departures outside of these specified hours. There is no drop-off or pick-up on major holidays, including New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

3. Boarding Requirements & Vaccinations

For the health and safety of all our guests, the Owner must provide current, written proof of vaccinations administered by a licensed veterinarian prior to any service.

Canine Requirements:
  • Rabies (Strictly required by state law)

  • DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

Feline Requirements:
  • Rabies (Strictly required by state law)

  • FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia)

Pets without proof of current vaccinations will not be permitted to enter the facility under any circumstances.

4. Health & Medical Emergencies

The Owner agrees that the Kennel will rely upon the Owner's representation that their pet is in good health and has not been exposed to any communicable diseases within the 30 days prior to their arrival. If a pet becomes ill or requires medical attention during their stay, the Kennel will attempt to contact the Owner or their designated emergency contact. If the Owner cannot be reached, the Kennel is authorized to engage the services of a veterinarian at their discretion. The Owner agrees to assume full financial responsibility for any veterinary care expenses incurred.

5. Behavioral Policies

The Owner represents that their pet has not shown aggressive behavior towards humans or other animals. Pets participating in group daycare must be spayed or neutered and successfully pass a behavioral evaluation. The Kennel reserves the right to separate any pet from group activities if they display aggressive, destructive, or overly disruptive behavior.

6. Payment & Cancellation Policies

Payment is due upon arrival. We accept cash and major credit cards. A deposit may be required to secure reservations during peak holiday seasons or school vacation weeks. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled drop-off time; failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the deposit or a cancellation fee.

7. Abandonment Policy

If a pet is not picked up within 14 days after their scheduled departure date, and the Owner or emergency contact has not communicated an extension, the pet will be considered legally abandoned. The Kennel will process the pet in accordance with Massachusetts state laws regarding abandoned animals, which may include relinquishment to an animal control officer or a recognized rescue organization. The Owner remains fully liable for all boarding and legal fees incurred.

8. Liability Waiver

While Country Time Pet Retreat provides the highest level of care, the Owner understands that there are inherent risks associated with pet boarding, daycare, and grooming, including but not limited to illness, injury, escape, or behavioral changes. By using our services, the Owner agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Country Time Pet Retreat, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liability arising from the pet's attendance, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the Kennel.

9. Refusal of Service

Unfortunately, we reserve the right to refuse service to any pet that demonstrates aggressive behavior, lacks required vaccinations, or appears visibly ill upon arrival. The safety and well-being of all our guests and staff is our absolute priority.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
